Scent The senses,Scent by ~MusicalAnarchy
as a whole,
are a complex bunch, indeed.
But on single one more
than smell.
Freshly mowed grass on a summer's day.
Newly budding May flowers after April rain.
The scent of dew as the morning breaks;
just a few brilliant smells to name.
We are so sensitive
to smell, above all else.
Good or bad,
our sense tingles,
either mildly or erratically,
to adjust to whatever it is.
That's the beauty of the sense.
She smells foreign spices,
and falls in love with him again.
He smells fresh baked goods on his birthday,
and his heart melts.
This girl loves how pavement smells
the morning after rain.

I can't believe how dumb I've been,
how dumb I'm acting now.
I thought I liked him,
and I did.
I thought I wanted this,
and I did.
But maybe in truth
it was all about the chase.
The flirting
is what was appealing.
And now that we're together,
I'm not sure what to do or think.
My heart still beats around him,
I still smile at first glance,
but nothing's quite so fun
now that the chase is done.
But despite what's good, bad,
or what needs help,
I carry on.
Because this time,
I shan't have crushed,
and won,
for no reason.

for so long,
but we never really knew each other
until now.
When we first met,
fresh out of elementary school,
we were such kids.
I still remember though
how much I liked you,
how close we were,
all thanks to one computer class.
But then we drifted
and though I can't recall why,
I'll always be upset
for so much lost time.
When we got to high school,
the reconnection wasn't instant.
We talked slowly,
chatted briefly,
and were often at a loss for words.
But one friend's slip up,
gave us inspiration in each other.
We found refuge in talking
about anything and everything
